Mrs. Sophie Shefsky, 76, of 9764 Merrion av., died yesterday in Augustana hospital. She was the widow of Alex Shefsky, a merchant tailor at 8900 Cottage Grove av. until his death in 1958. Surviving Mrs. Shefsky are three sons, Joe Dr. Samuel, and Lawrence; two daughters; Mrs. Helen Schwartz and Mrs. Frances Dorin; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tomorrow in the chapel at 1300 Devon av.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. at
the Chapel Hill Cemetery in
Oklahoma City under the direc-
tion of Parks Brothers Funeral
Service of Prague.
Pickett died Thursday, April
26, 2001 in Prague at the age of
87.
She was born Dec. 21, 1913 in
Prague to Frank and Emelie
(Kimmel) Tomanka.
Pickett had been a resident of
Prague for 4 years.
She married Robert Pinkney
Pickett on Dec. 25, 1935 in Pra-
gue. He preceded her in death in
1971.
Pickett had lived in Seminole
from 1985 to 1997 and was a
member of the seventh Day Ad-
ventist Church in Seminole.
She had also lived in Bethany
from 1971 until 1978 and in
Oklahoma City from 1937 until
1971.
In addition to her husband, she
was preceded in death by her par-
ents, four brothers, three sisters,
and one grandson.
She is survived by four sons,
Bob Pickett of Prague, Vernon
Pickett of Seminole, Larry and
Ron Pickett of Choctaw; one sis-
ter, Esther Stout of Bethany; five
grandchildren; and 15 great-
grandchildren.
