Individual Note:
Lived in Bradford, Orange Co., Vermont, was born between1760-1770, anddied about 1802. It is probable that he was oneof the sons of BenjaminJenkins who signed the Royal Charter ofMoore Town in 18 March 1771, whichwas later named Bradford. His wife, Eunice Bliss, was probably a closerelative of EllisBliss from Hebron, Connecticut, who had a large familyinBradford, Vermont. Elijah is one of the three Jenkins menlisted asheads of household in Bradford in 1790. Since threeof his five knownchildren lived in Stanbridge, Missisquoi Co.,Quebec, Canada, as adults,it may be that he removed to therebefore his death, or that Euniceremarried after his death andmoved the family there.
