     Auntie (pronounced I-nee) lived with her sister Mayme after herhusband,Frank Conway died. He was the brother of Mayme's husbandPaul.
Auntie worked for many years as the secretary at the sheriff'soffice atthe Mississippi County court house. She also was a verygood cook andseamstress. She taught me to sew and to crochet.

     Benjamin was one of the first settlers in New Gloucester, Maine,removingthere
from No. Yarmouth. Mention is made of him that he came to theblockhouseof
garrison with his wife, SarahScriggins, and there remained untilaloghouse
was built on the top of Harris Hill, where he made hishome.Traditionshows
him to have been a great hunter and scout. He saw much werviceintheFrench
and Indian wars from 1755 to 1760. (listed in several musterrolls)Thereis
a well established tradition that he was commisssioned Captain in the
Continental Army and died at Ticonderoga during the revolution.Nopublic
records have been found in support of this tradition, but asnootherrecord of
his death can be found and the tradition appears in all the linesofhis
descendants there seems no reason to doubt its accuracy.

Individual Note:
     Mayme and her sister Pearl married brothers, Paul and FrankConway. AfterMayme and Daddy Paul were divorced and Uncle Frank died,Mayme and Pearl,'Auntie' (pronounced I-nee), lived together at 511(?) S. Pearl Street inOsceola. Great-Uncle Charlie Conway boughtthem this house. Many people
came to visit and at various times Mayme's children and my brotherlivedthere.
We had many good times there and lots of good food and love.

The LDS IGI has the following birth for Daniel Mansfield extracted frompublic records:
20 DEC 1808, Civil, Rockport, Knox, Maine. Parents: Daniel Mansfield &Polly. [I suspect actual birth in Camden, but recorded at the county seatin Rockport.]
