Individual Note: Rev. Nelson was well educated but ill heath prevented Williams Collegegraduation. He was c o mmisioned in 1802 by Mass. Missionary Society andwas over 50 years in the ministry. Sai d t o have preached 5,7000different sermons. He gave liberally to his parish. He left no p osterity. (This could mean that his daughter died unmarried.)
