     Archelaus settled at the Packer Falls Section of Durham, New Hampshire.

Lieutenant Archelaus Woodman was a veteran of the Revolutionary War andis listed in the DAR Patriot Index. A monument in the town squareat Durham, New Hampshire, lists Archelaus as one of the men whoparticipated in the attack and capture of Fort William and Mary in 1774.This action obtained much needed gun powder for the Continental Forces.In 1786 he served as executive officer of the 17th New Hampshire Militiaand was called "Captain."
