Individual Note:
      The above noted publication states that John was a soldier of the
Revolution. He left Augusta Co. VA for KY in about 1790.

        Information submitted by Nancie Todd Weber, "William CHESNUT".

        The "HISTORY OF LAWRENCE CO., IN (1990)" notes that John was asoldier in the Revolutionary War and was in Captain Hopkin's Company fromAugusta Co., VA in 1777. A copy of this section of that book is in thewriter's files in a loose leaf notebook containing Adamson and Doyleinformation.

        From info submitted by Nancie T. Weber:

        1790 - moved to Greene Co., TN. +1800 moved with children, Abraham,
Benjamin, and Nancy to Knox Co., KY. Soon after was joined by sons,William,
John, and Jacob.

A family group record found on the LDS web site on July 8, 1999, givesthe date of death as being the same as his date of marriage :=)

        John Chesnut, born in VA in 1746, died 5 May 1805 in Laurel, KnoxCo., KY. He was the son of William Chesnut and Sophia Burk and marriedPatience Gumm 1765. She was born in Delaware in 1745, the daughterofJohn Gunn and Alice Fisher.

In 17909 sold 230 acres on Bull Pasture and 200acres on Muddy Creek, moved to Green Co., TN with Anne & Thomas Duffield,Jacob & Margaret Blake and other members of her familly. John's son wasalready in KY. John chesnut remained in Green Co. several years beforebuying 200 acres in 1795, then moved to Laurel, Knox Co., KY. John Kuchar owns 120 acres of land on section 22. He was born in Bohemiain 1848. He came to the United States in 1866 and settled in WinneskickCo., Iowa. He was married in 1873 to Barbara Kral, a native of Bohemia,born in 1856. They have four children - Mary, James, John and Anna. Thefamily are members of the Catholic Church. Mr. Kuchar settled on section22 of Danville township in 1879
